Today, we’re diving into the latest updates on the Datto RMM platform
Step By Step:
- In a previous video, we covered the Microsoft 365 integration that was recently added to Datto RMM. This integration has been further adjusted and enhanced with new features.
- One of the new additions is the ability to edit existing user details. After setting up the Microsoft 365 integration in Datto RMM, you can now go into a user’s Entra ID and edit fields such as phone numbers, email addresses, names, and other information directly within Datto RMM.
- This enhancement saves time by minimizing the need to navigate between multiple interfaces and eliminates the requirement for explicit access to the Entra ID portal itself.
- Another update to the Microsoft 365 integration is that you can now view the results link for user and email search. The search functionality for Microsoft 365 user display names and email addresses in the global search bar now works similarly to other types of search.
- You can now conduct full search reviews through the Microsoft 365 user email addresses from the global search bar at the top of the screen.
- Additionally, if you’re managing multiple tenants, the All Tenants page has been improved, and it now includes options for exporting to CSV files.
- The update also allows you to filter and support multiple tenant names, making it easier to manage and search across various tenants.
- Moving on to other updates, Datto RMM has implemented an integration with CA BMS (Business Management System) for service ticketing. This integration will automate device alert management directly within your standard ticketing system.
- The integration will automatically close BMS tickets when an alert is resolved in Datto RMM, helping streamline your ticketing workflow. However, this feature is not yet available and is targeted for release on August 16th, depending on the BMS release cycle from CA.
- Please note that only one webhook ticketing integration can be enabled at a time. Therefore, global webhooks must be disabled prior to enabling the BMS integration.
- If you’re using the Microsoft Teams webhook for ticketing, there have been updates to the Microsoft 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams. A new template has been developed for the webhook, which can be used as a starting point to build custom payloads if necessary.
- A new component has been released in the Component Store called the Windows Update Toolkit. This toolkit replaces several older components, including the Windows Update Deep Scan, Retrieve Windows Update History, and Diagnose and Fix Windows Update Issues.
- The new Windows Update Toolkit is designed to handle all Windows update-related issues in one package, streamlining the process.
- Several components in Datto RMM have also been updated to support Windows 11 24H2, including the Windows Build Identification Tool and Configure Windows Targeted Release Version tools.
- These updates allow you to push machines to the latest Windows 11 version (24H2), which is important for staying up to date with the latest OS features and security patches.
- If you are using EET (Direct Endpoint Management), six new components have been added to the component library. Several older components have been deprecated, so be sure to replace them with the new ones.
- That’s all for this month’s updates in Datto RMM. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.
