Step by Step:
- We’re going to show you how to transfer files using File Manager in Kaseya Live Connect an essential feature of the Kaseya VSA software.
- In this quick tutorial we’ll guide you through the process step by step so you can easily manage and transfer files on your managed devices.
- First, you’ll want to log into your Kaseya VSA account.
- Once you’re logged in navigate to agent on the left and then select manage agents from the drop-down menu. This will open a list of your managed devices.
- Feel free to filter at the top as we’ve done to limit the view to the machine you’ll be using.
- Now choose the device you want to transfer files to and hover over its icon.
- Once this loads we’ll go ahead and pin it here so it doesn’t disappear if we move our mouse away.
- There’s a few different ways we can access the File Manager we can access it by clicking on live connect which will bring us to the default asset summary page or we can click on the right arrow here and directly click on File Manager.
- We’ll go ahead and click on File Manager here which will open us directly into Live Connect.
- With the File Manager open you can now browse the file system of the selected device use this to navigate to the folder where you’d like to transfer files.
- In our demo here we’ll go ahead and use the Kworking folder.
- To transfer a file simply select it by clicking on the check box of the file name and then click the download button at the top of the interface.
- If doing a single file you can do it from the file itself or if you’re selecting multiple files or folders you can do it from the top.
- You’ll be prompted to choose a location for your local machine to save the file.
- Select your desired location to begin the transfer.
- Once started you’ll see the progress of the transfer. In this case our transfer completed almost immediately but for larger files you’ll be able to see the progression here.
- We then take a look at our local device and confirm the transfer was successful.
- Uploading a file to the remote device is just as easy click the upload button at the top of the file manager window and a fire file picker window will open allowing you to choose the file you’d like to upload from your local machine.
- Select the file and select open. The file will be uploaded to the folder you’re currently viewing on the remote device.
- Here we can see that the test file we sent successfully went through.
- That’s it transferring files using File Manager in Kaseya Live Connect is a simple and efficient way to manage files on your remote devices.
