By design, ConnectWise Automate works to perform system maintenance silently in the background. While a technician isn’t actually doing this work, some MSPs choose to bill this time in order to keep track of what’s done. Then they can show the client how much time and effort they are being saved. In Automate, you can specify how much time is billed to each ticket that’s opened and closed by an Autofix script. To do so, you need to access the following from within the dashboard:
Dashboard > Config > Integration > Customization > Ticketing
From this section of the dashboard, the Autofix Minutes to Bill line can be adjusted to sync as much or little time as you want to each Autofix ticket. Ensure the Autofix Enable Time Billing line is set to “1”, otherwise no time will be logged on tickets. Now, all autofix tickets that are created will have this default amount of time logged, which if set up, will sync over to ConnectWise Manage.
