ConnectWise Automate not only supports Windows agents, but Mac agents as well. Mac agents do not support the full feature set of Windows agents, but do provide useful functionality for you to support these types of users. ConnectWise Control is also supported for remote support. Ensuring you can reliably support these customers can produce an additional revenue stream for your MSP and give your client full support for all their machine types.
While limited, many features are still supported. The Mac agent reports on inventory, logs, disk info, software, services, processes, and supported agent templates. Monitors supported include network monitors, services and processes, monitoring the results of an executable, and disk space. Scripting includes the ability to start/stop processes and services, reboot the machine, working with files and folders, working with the Automate agent, pulling network information, and forcing the agent to resend its database information. ConnectWise Control integrates into the Computer Management window for one-click remote access to the machine.
ConnectWise is continuing to expand their support for Mac agents and it should only get better in the future. For the complete list of supported functionality, refer to the ConnectWise Automate documentation available online: Click here to visit.
